In loving memory

Cardinal Creek Portrait Co. is named in remembrance of my father, Randy, who passed away on January 25, 2026.
On the day he died, cardinal after cardinal filled the yard of my childhood home. There were more than we had ever seen at once, gathering quietly as if to say something we could not quite put into words. In the middle of one of the hardest days of my life, it felt like a message — a reminder that love does not simply disappear.
Since that day, I have come to see cardinals as a symbol of presence, connection, and the people who continue to stay with us long after they are gone. They have a way of appearing when you least expect it, gently asking you to pause, even for just a moment.
And much like the cardinals, the creek came to represent something deeply personal to me as well — the constant movement of time and the quiet reminder that life continues forward, whether we are ready for it or not.
Whether life moves gently or all at once, there are moments within it that we never want to lose.
Cardinal Creek Portrait Co. was built on that perspective.
This work is about more than simply taking photographs. It is about preserving the moments, milestones, and in-between seasons that shape our lives. The people we love. The chapters we want to hold onto. The memories that one day become priceless simply because time has passed.
Because one day, these moments are what remain.
And they deserve to be remembered.
